Sounds good , especially the noodle bar.
Yes, and the noodle bar is especially good!

Interesting. Never been to G16 as it has never had good reviews and I understood to be pretty unchanged from when Cathay purchased Dragon Air five years ago.
If on those gates would always go to Qf First out Biz or even Cabin
I was of the understanding that QFF either Platinum, or Gold could access the CX lounges - Wing or Cabin, even if flying on Qantas. Is that the state of play at the moment?
Yes, and there is also the EK lounge if you don't mind the walk.
It does go both ways ... just that one way is for departing passengers and the other way is for arriving passengers.Ten years so ago the train went both ways.

Gee, I didn't think it was that long since I had used it! The overhead signs pointing to gates 40-70 from the East departures area seemed to be directing passengers towards what I assumed was the escalator down to the train. Perhaps they are yet to change the signs? I suppose it was stopped in the name of security to ensure that an arriving passenger (pre-screening at HKG) could not leave something nasty on the train for a departing passenger (post-screening) to collect.Used to be, but it's been arrivals only for the past year or two.

There are moving walkways most of the way along the #20something numbers gates, but still, it's a 10 minute or so trip.

Afraid not, and I've generally found CX staff to be quite knowledgeable about who is allowed to enter.
