Have a overnight stay in Hong Kong fly out 11 am any sugestions where to stay ?ie near airport or place near where we can have a meal etc , look forward to input.

Re: Hong Kong Hotels

the airport hotels are the novotel and the marriott and the regal. the marriott is standalone (think it may connect to the gold course?), the regal is onsite with the airport and the novotel is a few minutes away in Tung Chung connected to the Citygate shopping centre (not my first choice given how busy it is with tour buses).

depending on the arrival time you may prefer to stay in kowloon - W hotel is nice and is only 20mins away by airport express which the station is connected to the same complex as the hotel.

so even if we stay in kowloon its not too far< arrive HK 4 pm previous day, any suggestions

Kowloon is about 20mins from the Airport by the Airport Express train. If you head towards Kowloon/Hong Kong Island, you'll be able to watch the light show, and the impressive skyline, far more interesting than staying near the airport, especially if staying for that long.

Re: Hong Kong Hotels

I would just stay at the regal, checkout their last minute deals.

Agree with this, will be doing a stay here next wednesday. Doing last minute booking, just wheel yoru baggage trolley straight to Hotel, dump back and train from airport terminal to central

Cant go wrong

Re: Hong Kong Hotels

I like the airport Novotel for an overnight stopover. Have had good last minute deals, and there is a quick (and free) shuttle from the airport. And if you are feeling hungry and very cheap, the supermarket in the basement of the Citygate shopping centre has some nice sushi and Chinese roast pork with crackling...for a couple of dollars. Not eveyone's idea of a great night out I admit....

I stayed at the Skycity Marriott in December. Free shuttle to the door, fantastic hotel, great rooms, awesome food. Highly recommended.

If I was arriving after say 8pm, with an early am departure the next day, I would stay at the cheapest of the Regal, Novotel Citigate or Marriott. Butif arriving at 4pm, I would certainly be heading into Hong Kong for the night.
