With all of the adverse media about the situation in HK, the airfares are making HK look like a good destination for this counter-cyclical tourist.
Earlier this week CX fares were $581 on Skyscanner. Now VA are available for $515 return both for travel in the next two weeks.
Obviously loads are taking a hit but why would VA need to be lower than CX. Wouldn't they be able to leverage some margin from their domestic network and connections?
