Hi all,

Picked up Hilton Gold with VA Gold and am have never really used Hilton before so apologies if this is a bit of a dumb question but I couldn't find an answer for it looking online.

I'm travelling through the US next year and have come across the hiltonfamilymvp.com site and was wondering what the eligibility is for booking these discounted rates? From what I can gather looking through the details, you only require a HHonors membership? Is this correct?

Also, if I book using this rate, will I still receive my Gold benefits (i.e. potential upgrades)??

Cheers :)

I had a 2 month trip of the USA last year and stayed around 80-90% in hilton branded properties (hampton inn, hilton garden inn, doubletree, and hilton) and used the MVP rate on 90% of those bookings with only a few not accepting it and I used AAA instead.

Never had one person bring it up or mention it, and all I had was HHonors membership. I started off Blue, stayed in 4 different hotels early in the trip and was fast tracked to gold and utilised the benefits for the rest of the trip. Worked perfectly.

Just remember there are two MVP codes for respective brands, most USA hotels offer you good discounts.
