Hello,
I just joined up to Hilton Honors and start off as a lowly Blue member.
My understanding is that to qualify for Gold VIP or Diamond VIP you must accumulate 60,000 base points and 100,000 base points respectively within 12 months.
Is this correct? Or do I need to meet their qualifying nights / stays as well?
The reason is, I will be in New York next month, and will spend $4000USD on their Doubletree Suites Times Square accommodation, and I choose their "triple points" promotion. I would earn 120,000 base points in the one stay!
And I will be travelling quite frequently next year, so having Diamond status would be great to be upgraded and earn 50% additional points to retain status.
Thanks for your help!
