Many thanks to the OP. I have been waiting for a sale before I booked at the "Bangkok Hilton" for April. 2 non-weekend nights at the best rate I can get and 2 more weekend nights at 50% off. Sweet!

Does anyone know if the "Free night after 4 stays/10 nights" promo mentioned on Flyertalk is running over here....I can't find any mention of it.

It is supposed to run from Jan 5th to March 31st, 2010...I've got six planned stays during that time so would be interested to see if it's valid.

A few weeks ago I tried using my $99 stays on weekends in SYD over several weekends through to March.Couldnt and rates were often >$500 a night.Interesting to try again next week.

I hope to use my $99 stay in Melbourne and book the 50% off stay the following night....not sure how I'll go with that but worth a shot.

You will need to make these as separate bookings and then get the hotel to recognise this. The problem will be that Hilton tend to put everything into the non qualifying pile so both stays will probably show as such unless you insist on separate payment.

Cheers Bill,

That's the route I'll take....hopefully it all works out :)

You should head back via Sydney on the Sunday and we can sample both lounges! :p

I am QF766 and QF556 ;) so as long as someone can guest me into the SYD J lounge on arrival, I’m set :p
I did not really want to connect via SYD and would prefer the direct flight. I won't tell anyone if you won't tell anyone but I will give my Platinum card in ADL (it expires end of May) and you can use it to access the lounge in SYD and you can bring it to me at the next BNE drinks night.

Just ended up booking two nights at Hilton South Wharf in Melbourne for $99 a night..a Thursday and a Friday night so it is possible to get away with a non-weekend night if you have your social engineering skills up to scratch ;)

Haha. Might work. :)

Well this Hilton place is unpredictable.I have a booking at the Hilton KL for June.I always check rates to see if they drop and a week ago for the time i was there it was showing available by diamond force only.Thought the hotel must be full.
However today i can get the weekend sale rates for this time.always pays to check!

Just did a search online, I can make such a booking online, so not sure if it requires social engineering skills :p

This is useful information. Thanks guys.

Keep in mind that this isn't just an APAC only sale - there are deals for the Americas (33% off), UK/Europe/Africa etc (50% off)

I know, just saying as the rates weren't available before and still aren't officially I guess. So some may be interested.

Yesterday I booked a Wednesday and Thursday night at the January sale 50% off rate at the “Bangkok Hilton”. Then I booked the Friday and Saturday at the 50% rate too. I couldn’t book all four nights at once as the prices reverted to the non January sale prices. So I booked an Executive Plus suite for under A$200 per night. I am quite pleased. It was just lucky I tried seperating the four nights.

Do you means we can book any days with 50% rate too?
