Hilarious DYKIWA rant against SQ on facebook

Influential for the wrong reasons in this case. He is not God, and should stop acting like one.

But interesting that pretty much everything about this incident is gone (except archives, and the thread on this forum for that matter).

Anyone connected to him on LinkedIn? I'm two degrees of separation from him (15 people).

The FT thread has been taken down as well.

Interesting. I am not surprised though, as it contained a lot of personal information about the complainant that was unnecessary to include in a public forum. However I'd normally expect that to be moderated out, not the whole thread disappear without trace. But that's FT - awful lot of stuff disappears without trace that wouldn't disappear here on AFF.

Care factor: zero.

If he - like it could be in Singapore - is using his influence to take down negative posts about his reaction, then that's even more presumptuous and worthy of contempt.

I think what serfty is saying perhaps is that if you look at his LinkedIn profile, he could be a real PPS and not just one of "those" PPS. He probably didn't use his influence to take down those pages but can use it to take away a lot of business from SQ. I wouldn't be surprised if SQ apologised etc or something.

I wouldn't be surprised if his employer acted, he is not exactly a big shot among the Asian IT community in the scheme of things. I doubt SQ would be too worried.

He may well be a real PPS and one of "those" PPS, which you occasionally encounter. DYKWIKAx100.

I was boarding one day at Changi, rather late as I tend to (in the 10-15 min window prior to scheduled departure), and one guy waltzed in trying to push in front of the 3 of us already queued (I was PPS, and the guy ahead of me seemed to be as well judging by tag on HL), but the guy went to desk and asked them to change his seat so he had empty seat beside him. The gate staff advised that the flight was very full and although there were a handful of empty seats there were no positions he could be moved to that had empty seats beside theme, and they couldn't move any other passengers as most passengers had already boarded. Then he commented he was PPS and asked for the staff members name as he would complain. It was one of those moments I later regretted not taking down the staff member's name and writing some feedback myself in support of the staff, lest anything happen to the staff member, as the guy was being a total tool. Expecting seating to be re-arranged 12 mins before departure is a fantasy.

Was gutted that both FT and FB had wiped the threads from their sites, I really wanted to read this first-hand from the clown. Luckily google cache came to the rescue :p

Self Entitled PPS. YOU SHOULD HAVE WAITED FOR ME FOR JUST 5 MINS. - FlyerTalk Forums

Vijoy Varghese - I took SQ25 from JFK to Singapore via... | Facebook

From the tone of his posts, I didn't think he actually came off as DYKWIA, he didn't seem to be demanding anything really, just seemed to be whining. Seemed more like a naive brat who had no idea how the real world works. Which is weird because looking at his LinkedIn, he definitely looked like he had been around the block, and had work history in multiple countries. Unless its one of those made-up work histories which is not that uncommon....

I would think FT took it down because people were publishing his contact details. Perhaps that should just have been moderated out, but either way that stuff had to go.
