We can't select a class of travel on the first screen when checking the "Show Classic Awards", so have to wait for multiple screens to load before finding availability in a premium class?
I hate the lack of class selection on that screen for classic awards... Drives me nuts
 
Why is that catering in Y on CBR-MEL vv flights tends to be pretty abysmal. (Seriously, a sandwich is what is usually offered at dinner time)
I know it's possible to serve everyone a hot meal at dinner times on MEL-CBR flights as QF used to do it, so I can't see how timing would be an issue since planes haven't exactly increased in speed since the mid 90's.

Also I don' see how price would be an issue either considering the QF frequently sell SYD-MEL vv flights for cheaper than ex CBR flights and will supply cooked meals on those flights.

I actually sent feedback on this, the snack service CBR-MEL one night was just a cookie, yes just a cookie handed out by itself!
 
A cookie on Adelaide flights is the norm outside of breakfast and dinner. Even had a cookie for a lunch time flight. I didn't eat it and had to find a sandwich at Melbourne airport when I arrived.
 
^^ Even QLink flights have better catering!

I'm amazed sometimes at the catering provided on the intrastate QL flights compared to the QF mainline.
 
Wouldn't it be that they have to assess anyone in an exit row as being physically capable of helping in an emergency - hence the need to look you over?

We appreciate that aspects of our products and services may be a matter of preference, and in some cases based on extensive personal travel experiences and ongoing passion and enthusiasm for our brand.

Our Customer Experience teams across the network will be particularly interested in this thread. While I may not have an answer to all your questions, I'll do my best to raise them with the right people and get back to you where possible.

If all customer issues are important to Qantas, that's a radical change since I reduced them to my least favoured airline because of their appalling customer relations. I was twice in potentially life threatening situations overseas (both revolutions that lead to governments changing) and couldn't get answers out of Qantas. In both cases, my subsequent complaints were met with generic responses.

I don't understand the fascination with (let alone the constant whining about) airline food. I know I'm generalising, but bear with me....on a normal work day, when people aren't flying anywhere, they'lll eat breakfast around 7.30, lunch around 1, and dinner at say 6.30. In between they might have the odd glass of water, cookie, mars bar, can of V etc.

So why, when they're on a 2 hour plane flight from say MEL-BNE, do they expect food? And if they simply can't go 2 hours without jamming something in their gobs, why does the airline have to provide this? Airports are chock full of places to buy drinks, snacks and whatever portable food you could possibly imagine. If you have to eat while in the air, can't you just think ahead? Why does the airline have to find out if you need lacto-ovo, vegan, gluten-free or diabetic friendly meals?

I vote we clear the (domestic) aisles of those pesky catering carts, and put an end to people complaining bitterly about getting a cold piece of cake as opposed to a steaming hot pile of chicken & rice. Imagine the savings in catering and cleanup costs....that I'm certain our beloved carriers would pass on to our ticket prices, no?

Hi All,

Thought I'd start a new thread which throws up life's little questions when flying on our favourite Kangaroo, but which probably don't need threads of their own.

Who knows, maybe Red Roo can respond to some when s/he is bored with all the important ones out there??

So, I'll start this off ....

Why is that .... I can check-in on my mobile for an exit row seat, but can't use NextGen Check-in because - according to staff - I have to be "sighted"?

This happened to us and, on enquiry, we were told that because an exit seat requires able bodied people to be able to open the door and help with evacuation, they must be able bodied - and not temporarily on crutches, for instance, and not infirm, or a youngster.
 
Why do I get charge an enormous cc fee when booking online with a Qantas co-branded AmEx that already has a very hefty annual fee?

Seriously, if I'm flying to I dunno, Bali, Hong Kong, London or LA...feed me, and feed me good. But wanting a hot meal (or even a cookie FFS) on CBR-MEL? Wow...talk about first-world problems.
 
Why is there a charge to join the QFF program when you use an Australian address but no charge when you use a US address?
 
Hi all, after years as a passive reader, this thread question fired me to action.

So why is it after more than 10 years as a lifetime Gold FF, do I have to start at zero status credits each year to make Platinum FF? While I earn the credits each year to scrape into Platinum, it would be nice to have the lifetime status recognised and maybe make Platinum Plus!!!

Everytime you advertise something as "enhanced", we all shudder?

The QFF dictionary is clear

to enhance = to take something away
to streamline = instead of us doing something, you will now be doing it yourself
