IMAGINE forking out $585,000 for one night at a hotel, albeit a luxurious city centre five-star property.
Yet that is the contract between US Vice President Joe Biden and his staff and the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand.

The costs "are in line with high-level travel across multiple administrations," an unnamed State Department official told The Weekly Standard.

Under the current Priority Club rules a bill like that would probably earn 2K of PC points LOL.

Something tells me that if you have $585,000 to hand over for a hotel stay for one night, your not too worried about points.

With bills like that you can see why some credit card companies are capping points. ;)

I was staying at the hotel during this visit. I wondered who was there - all I knew was that the person was American, due to the all the armour-plated Cadillacs and Suburbans outside. It was a real pain - they took over most of the hotel, lots of security staff hanging out in the foyer, and the whole street outside was blocked off, so that my taxi had to let me off at the corner (in the rain), and had to drag my bags to the hotel.

Having said that, great hotel as always, and and excellent upgrade including club lounge - all on points :)
