Hi all I was wondering if somebody could shed some light on what is happening with my Qf booking.

Initially I booked 2 adults 1 child Mel-Ool for December as Red E-deals when $88.

Then the Flex Saver fares for $159 were released, looked at changing online but the $65 change fee per ticket made the fare difference a little silly.

Decided to try work my luck on calling Qf directly and use my best charms to see if they could waive the fee.... The lovely lady at the call centre obliged with my request and also waived the call centre fee so all I had to do was pay fare difference but any subsequent changes would need to be done through the call centre and attract the $35 fee as well as fare difference. Fine by me, I really just wanted the fare to be classed as economy not discount economy for status credits and discounted point upgrades.

When I logged on to manage my booking the fare type has come up as the old "Super Saver" and is still classed as discount economy.

Anybody got any idea what this is about? Will I need to call back and enquire?

Any advise would be much appreciated :D

Regards

What is the booking class designator (single alpha character) showing for each segment on your booking?

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

Since you are only concerned about earning at full economy level the upgrade fare type is not really relevant. The earning table says it is full economy.

Ahhh! i get it, did not notice one of the tables was for upgrades..

Thank you :)

As a side note I can request an upgrade for the full economy rate not discount rate.

Seems incongruous. As medhead stated, V domestic should earn at full economy (far as I can tell). The flights are on QF metal (i.e. via SYD) and not JQ (non-stop)? Otherwise, sorry, to quote The Who, "I Can't Explain"

PS. Posted before I saw your latest post...ignore the QF/JQ bit.

Can't agree more but thanks anyway, by the way these are the fare conditions complete opposite to the links from above.
