Hi I'm new to this site, I have recieved a lot of information that I required by reading the discussions.

I am a new qantas club member and am flying to Melbourne on 19th August 2010. I am going with my cousin and our best mate who is getting married shortly. We are taking him to the footy as he has always wanted to see a game at the MCG so before he gets tied down we thought we would surprise him.

I want to get both of them into QC lounge at Perth domestic before our flight, we depart at 0100 on 19th and were looking at going to the lounge at about 2100 on the 18th as it will be the first time in the lounge. Can anyone assist in getting 2nd guest into the lounge or offer any ideas? I rang QC Perth and they said that they are very strict on guest and could not help me.

Jezza,

I'm flying out on the 19th, at around the same time, it may even be the same flight.

Anyhow I won't get to the airport until 11ish most likely, but feel free to send me a pm here and I'll see what I can organise.

Have they allowed guests into the PER QP again yet?

Last time I was in PER (late May) guests were not allowed.

Thanks arkhonic that would be fantastic. I am unable to pm anyone as yet though.

Yep - guests are welcome again as renovations are basically done.

Took a guest in on Sunday.

Although the signs were in place until late May(ish), I have not had any problems guesting people in.

The restrictions are over as others have suggested!

And if there's any other suckers on the midnight horror tonight, PM me and I'll organise to get you in!

The good 'old Red eye. Hit the QP for a few, then try to sleep (if one can).

I used too loved getting the 747's on that route a few years ago. There was soooo much space. Mind you, the A330's ain't bad either.

Space? in whY? :shock::D

I find the loads on the red eyes seem to be quite heavy. :(

Not too fussed, had a little nap this afternoon and have a place to snooze organised for once I land

Lots of space down the back. But, that was on a Tuesday or Wednesday, red eye, 747. Not too sure now, as l try to always get the 12:30 or mid afternoon flight.

Will you be on the midnight horror later on this month aswell?

This move all depends on the diligence of the desk team but it's worked for me in PER only last week.

Take your first guest in, find a table and show them the bar. Take off your coat. lave your bags and walk out to grab the next guest.

Take their cabin luggage then walk back in with a bag mumbling " ...guest..." with boarding pass displayed and try your luck.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Arkhonic can you PM me your email address or other contact details as I can't PM yet.

Jezza,

shoot me an email at arkhonic (at) hotmail.com, we can trade details there.

Cheers

Ha ha. Love it.

I have tried the same thing in CBR on a Friday! And in MEL on a slow Sunday afternoon and both times got away with it.
