Booked the whole dang family back to LAX for a visit (first since we moved to MEL) on the Kids Fly Free Promo. Certainly a bargain at $4700 return for 3 adults and 3 children each with a seat incl all taxes and charges. I did all the modelling re using miles etc.. and nothing else made as much sense as this sale for us due to the kids. Well it will be the first time we travel in Y long-haul for quite some time. I am part petrified, and part trying to say to myself "lots of people do it every day and survive.."

ANyway booked 93/94 direct services. Outbound were scheduled on the A380 and got nice automatice seat assignemtns rows 53/54. On the inbound it is showing as 744 and we have been assigned rows 55/56. The CMT seatmap shows econ starting at row 51. But for the life of me I cannot find (either on QF or EF) a 744 seatmap where Y starts at 51. Though the 744 with Y+ seatmaps on QF are pretty illegible (at least on my computer). So what equipment are we on on the inbound if it's a 744 and Y starts row 51?
