Flying to US in V Aust Y+ in May/June 2010, 2 of us, have Qantas points & Amex MR & would appreciate some advice on the following one way flights.

LAX-KTN via SEA
YXY-FAI- understand there is only Air North
ANC-SEA.

Once back in Seattle we will also have a couple of short hop flights back down west coast to LAX ( not fully planned yet)-maybe SLC, JAC, SFO or SAN

Do AS provide a good use of QF points ( Y or F) or are there better options? eg Are there any multi flight coupons.
At time of flights will be silver & bronze with QF & no V Aust status.

Thanks folks

Thanks Serfty. I have had a look on FT & haven't seen anything along the lines of what I am asking so will start a post. Looks like Alaska forumites may be a little more patient with my questions as compared to some FT sub-sections.
Looks like there is currently a bonus for buying miles with AS.
Seems to be only around 1c per QF point if using QF points to buy seats
