I've just had to cancel my 28 Degrees Card when some fraudulent transactions appeared (annoying because I'm now not sure if I can get a replacement in time before we head OS next week). It seems my card details were compromised when I placed an on-line order with www.vova.com recently.

The details are that 2 weeks ago I had an online shopping site (Vova) pop up when I was following a link from the Herald Sun news site. Pics of lots of products and one for leather seat covers took my eye as my existing one got stained a while back. Placed an order and paid with 28 Degrees card. Next day I received an email from Vova saying they needed further ID before they could process the payment and could I send them a copy of my passport. WTF? No way, not falling for that! So into the trash went the email and I thought I was safe because no order amount was debited. Google search now suggests Vova is a fake shopping site with many people complaining they haven't received their orders.

Today I checked my 28 Degree balance to see if some hotel bookings had been processed and noticed multiple Sydney Apple store charges (for music downloads) which started just days after the dodgy Vova order. Having never downloaded anything from iTunes I knew it was bogus so I reported the problem to Latitude (28 Degrees) to cancel the card.

So if you see Vova crop up don't take the bait.

They managed to post me a new card out really quickly. If it didnt arrive they said they could mail to me at my destination, in NYC.
