Tried HoTP last weekend rather than HSW as last couple of stays at HSW were not overly enjoyable. Booked a suite. really enjoyed the lounge, much quieter even though there was a game on at the MCG. Choice of food rather limited. Breakfast downstairs as had early start Sunday ...great service and food was good. Will definitely try again.

Had a good meeting with the HSW Hotel Manager yesterday.

He was genuinely interested in feedback on how the hotel can improve to get back to the performance standards that it was known for.

Obviously staff changes are always an issue, but they are trying hard to address these when they occur.

I emphasized to him that "inconsistent treatment" was the biggest bugbear for a top-level hotel providing top-tier benefits.

He is genuinely interested in receiving and acting on feedback, so if anyone has substandard stay issues - please do pass them on.

Does HSW still do the special bennies on "milestone" stays?

i recently stayed my 20th and got nothing :(

i suspect the fact that my welcome card had someone else's name may have been the factor.
