Has anyone else been sent a survey on the transfer process at SYD?

I've just completed a survey on my 12 month experience with the SYD int-dom transfer process.

I said it was great to have but that it's pretty cough. Infrequent, tiny waiting area, crowded buses, poor accessibility into the dom terminal when you get there. It went on to ask as a WP what could be improved. I said to read previous response plus how about getting priority tagged bags out with priority.

At the very end of the survey I was shown some images that to me inferred that the transfer might be heading towards only being available to SG and above. I should have taken a screen shot.

Has anyone else been sent this and did you read the signage as I have?

Heh, will have to do different flight bookings now, if they will (only) allow SG and above to use that particular service.
Or leave a very wide bumber time to get across via the Tbus, or go via the train.
Have done it in the past.
Either that, or go ADL -> AKL direct and come back via MEL to ADL.
Guess tho, with the sites that that service has at the 2 places, SYD airport being SYD airport, its quite tight what QF can do.
If they join T2 and T3, it might improve, or get worst, who knows.
As for the survey, never had it when I used to do the int - dom with QF coming off the AKL - SYD flights.

Given the Premium/Priority signage options in the survey are listed as C and D, I would assume that, based on your previous answers around status, options A and B are shown to all survey recipients who do not have status of Gold or above...

Possibly yes. Or A and B points travelers out to the kerbside bus. We'll eventually find out I guess.

Got the survey too and let them have it.

My read on the images was there would be a premium lane/bus.

My suggestion to improve the entire experience would just be to cover the cost of the train between the terminals. Other was to have priority customs like they used to have for inbound express pass and APEC card hotels. Ie, do what other major ports in Australia have.

I had the survey. I believed the sighnes were filters based on you entered status. The option we had were for 'C' and 'D'.

I presume NB received options ''A" and 'B'.

Other than that my responses were pretty much as your.

I did specifically mention the couple of steps at the bottom of gate 15 were an issue..

Yes, we had just C/D. The signage was worded to indicate ’priority transfer this way’ or something similar.

If the speed priority tagged bags come out is anything to go by, priority transfer will be end of the queue ;)

It’s an easy problem to fix. The buses are too crowded and infrequent. Fortunately, solving the latter will also solve the former.

As mentioned in another thread Skybus won a contract to run airside transfer buses for SYD - so if QF does restrict this to elites the alternative is probably not going to be the landside bus, but the new generic airside bus.

Our bus last Sunday was packed to the hilt. It's a really poor service. And it was driven very badly especially as everyone onboard has just done a long distance flight and likely tired. But he jolted, braked hard and made for a nasty ride. Just appalling for a city like Sydney.

The last T1-T3 bus I got was a month ago. There was a bus waiting and boarding as I got through domestic security (Tues AM transfer from QF60). It sat there for another 10 mins waiting for more people to board. The ride itself wasn't very memorable, so nothing nasty like mentioned above. There was another 2 buses parked at the T3 transfer gate.
They don't seem to be interested in keeping to any timetable, just going when the driver thinks there is "enough" people on board.

The other thing that is incredibly annoying is that you cannot avoid steps. Nearly everyone has luggage and for anybody with mobility issues it’s a nightmare.
