Hello all,

Im new to the world of frequent flyer points. Only just got my first ever credit card the other day which has piqued my interest in collecting points (the 50000 bonus points will definitely give a nice boost to my current 0 points). Im not really sure how i am going to use the points to the best of my ability as my wife is a teacher, so i am guessing the options for us will be somewhat limited.

Anyways thought if i join i should say hello from sunny central queensland.

And very welcome to you!

May I suggest that to maximise your points opportunities you need to think a way ahead as to what airline and to where you want to fly, then devote all your points earning to that. Spreading points earning between schemes (hotels, airlines, credit cards) results in a lot of points, but no rewards.

AFF is a good place to learn :)

Welcome jsimmo11 I am sure you will find lots of ways to spend your pints here

thanks for the welcome. I look forward to learning how to make this new world work for me. My first overseas trip is in a week, hopefully this will help me make it the first of many.
