Hi all,
I'm looking at booking a cheap J fare with MH from Singapore to Japan next year, they're currently on sale for a bit under a third of the next reasonable competitor.
I understand the hard product isn't considered top notch (angled flat seat for example) but I'm not too concerned with that, it seems like a great opportunity to actually go for some QF status.
I'm a bit worried about MH potentially going out of business so consulted my travel insurance for coverage, and they'll cover cancellation of my flights due to insolvency of an airline BUT only if I book through a "licensed travel agent" (I specifically asked if I could book direct through the airline and was told that wasn't covered).
So- I'm looking for a good, reasonable travel agent that's able to offer me the same fares quoted by MH's website, who is "licensed" (?). I was told they don't need to be Australian, just need to be a recognized travel agent. I'm not sure if someone local is able to sell the (I assume Singaporean fare) MH's website is quoting to me?
I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or suggestions. Should I just rock up to flight center and see what they can do..? (I don't like them, but I can suffer through it)
Many thanks in advance. Apologies if this is a sticky or something covered elsewhere!
Tyson.
