Hello all,

Has anyone managed to visit Portugal. Apparently Australia as well as Canada has been removed from the list. But since I’m flying via UK, staying a week. maybe they won’t pull me aside.

Thanks

It's a bit confusing tbh!

Its says on the Portugal Tourism board:
_____
I – ACCESSIBILITY

1) Arriving to Portugal by Plane
ALLOWED (Essential and non-essential travel)
Countries of the European Union or of a State associated with the Schengen Area (Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland);
Brazil, USA and UK;
____

I guess we are
  • Flying it from UK / rest of Schengen,
  • Not transiting as such
  • There is no mention of previous travel restrictions (ie last 14 days in Australia)

    So hopefully should be fine. Have to get the Australian Vaccination pass converted in Swiss though :/

Thank you, Yes it does sound like on paper we will be allowed in.
I have the swiss covid pass then "converted" it to a Euro one.
My first point off entry to the Schenglen will be Germany.

I know things have changed a bit since November…. But I went to Portugal from the UK and not a single document was asked for at checkin (Ryanair) or on arrival. The only point of difference was the checkin agent verbally asking “are you double vaxed”.

While in Portugal, not a single QR code nor requirement to show a vaccination certificate. Masks were occasionally used.

Just checking - has anyone recently managed to enter Portugal from within the EU with just the Australian Covid Certificate? Flying from France to Portugal on EasyJet on Saturday and getting a bit nervous!

I did the „risky“ way and did not do a PCR. Easyjet at Orly was not interested in seeing a vaccination certificate (so all good), no immigration at Faro end because coming from another EU memberstate (so all good). But, here is the catch 22: In the arrivals baggage hall, there were indeed officials doing vaccination certificate spot checks and reading the QR codes with a phone. I duly navigated away from them!

I have the chance to get a UK vaccine pass while im there, so i might do it - just saves worrying about running the gauntlet when i land in LIS.

The requirement to produce a vaccination certificate or -ve covid test to enter Portugal looks to have ended.

Off Topic - Finland has also dropped it's requirements, which is good for those traveling on AY
