Good morning,

I'm tempted by Gogo -- about $50 for a month, and it would be handy on a bunch of domestic United States flights I have on Delta, VX, and US Airways in the next three weeks.

Opinions? Recommendations?

I'd be much obliged.

If I go with it, I promise a full report.

Kind regards,

SBD

Last Jan flying AA I had a free 30 min session with Gogo - and after 30 mins I just cleared the cookies and it started from scratch again. Not ure if its still like that but I'm there in 2 weeks so will see if it still works.

I've used it. It worked well and I'd recommend it if you like being online. Just make sure the Aircraft you're on actually support it before paying upfront for a monthly pass.

I used it in September on AA and it was great. Unfortunately it was on this trip that I got a phone call letting me know that my father was dying and I had to return home immediately. The Gogo wifi meant that I could keep in touch with my family during my cross country flight as well as getting ideas from a friend on another AA flight when I realized I was going to miss my connecting flight home. Now, not implying that you should get it for this reason, but it did make a horrible time a little less stressful.

Ive used it a few times with AA, if i was doing a bunch of flights i would do the montly pass..

Only issue is quite a few AA fights where i route dont have WIFI..

Used it on DL alot, it is great. As stated, not all aircraft have it (but most on DL) so check your flights before you commit.

Bought a monthly pass through Nov and Dec 2012 and found it to be excellent and great value - although they've just raised the price etc I had bought the airline specific (AA) monthly pass as all my flights were on the same Arline

Many thanks for your informed opinions. I'll let AFF know my experience of it in a few weeks, too.

Kind regards,

SBD

Update: internet is working well on my VX flight from LAX to Boston. It's easy to use, and fairly fast considering we're at 35,000 feet.

Thanks to AFF friends above in this thread for your opinions.

Here's a photo taken from my seat (2A, which by the way is very comfortable and roomy).

Regards,

SBD
