Got 3 packs from markis10 this afternoon and anat0l collected his from me tonight. One to give to Flashware in LHR next Wed.

Good start for me tomorrow - a quick day trip to SYD to see a client :D

8,000 - 12,000 per day is a good range. 10,000 per day is a long-standing nominal target.
Thanks. At 6500 so far today, so 10K is certainly within reach. It certainly needs special effort when you work from home and the commute to the office is about 20 steps from the kitchen.

Mrs NM thinks I am weird pacing around the house while talking/listening on a conference call.

Pfft. Well past 10k here, in fact I'm pushing 20k =P

AFF - we are go...

I've just been informed by steptoe that the last box of starter packs have finally arrived and steptoe has been diligent in having them mailed posthaste to those members still waiting on packs.

Thanks steptoe for your diligence on getting these packs chased, delivered and sent out to the others. Thanks again also to Skoogle and markis10 for taking care of other dispatches.

Remember everyone to log on to the GCC website daily (or as often as you can!) to log your daily step count. (There is a mobile GCC site as well! A hint if you're out of computer or internet coverage: keep a spare piece of paper (or use the back of an old boarding pass) to write down your step count until you can get to a computer to update them.)

To all participants: for the next few business days, please let me know if:
  • You don't have a starter pack (or more importantly, pedometer)
  • You can't log into the GCC website to log your daily step count
  • You're having other related (or unrelated!) troubles

Apart from that - go go go, AFF!

My steps may be lagging a bit partly due to the timezone and partly because I'm travelling for the next 5 days and may not have the best internet access available to me. I have started off today with a nice walk from home to a client's office in Mayfair though, so already knocked up a good tally

im fsairly certain my pedometer is broken!
only 8456!

maybe it was because i slept in till 1 pm!

LOL

Go teh NSW team!

Thanks for the efforts on getting the packs out. Pleasantly surprised to have might arrive in Adelaide today. Considering I wasn't even sure they had been delivered in Sydney yesterday, that is a massive effort. I didn't expect to see it until next week.

Just about to log my steps.

Thanks again for the pack!

My thanks to skoogle and the other dispatchers as well...great effort. My pack was waiting at home for when I returned from my rural callings last night. A slightly delayed start for me as a result but a bit of extra effort required to make it up I guess.

Anyone heading up to OzFest this week interested in joining me on an early morning walk let me know, I have a nice little circuit thats close to an hour in length taking in the wharf and harbour, finishing in the 100 steps from hell :D.

GCCers out there with a smart phone (definitely iphone 3G and 'above', and I think Android and W7 as well) may be interested in an app (free) called Runkeeper, which uses the GPS capability in the phone to track activity like running, walking etc.

Have started using it this weekend and seems pretty good. :)

On the website, there are also details on checkins via SMS with Aus & UK mobile numbers.
