Most would have got them for the points. But the gift vouchers are still available without points, so no need to bank up for that reason.

Say you were booking SYD-MEL flights eg: $178 red e-deal, could you buy a gift voucher to cover the base fare (let's say $100 is the closest amount) and pay the remainder fare and surcharges/taxes with a gift card? Would this then work around the credit card fee?

I bought the gift vouchers for the points and to avoid the credit card surcharge. Purchased 34 gift vouchers of various denominations and still have 15 gift vouchers left with only one return flight in July and flights from September through to end of year.yea i know. Just wondering if anyone banked up gift vouchers just to offset cc fees. I guess most would have banked it for the points![]()
