GGL Experiences

This has been extended to the BA phone staff so the GGL team can do this now. No need for a travel agent any more.

TAs can still do more with GUFs than direct with BA.

It has been a while but here is why I love BA GGL. I need to get over to the US, from dear old Blighty, for a couple of weeks, mmm well actually three, and I need to do this inexpensively ----- for a number of reasons, not least because I need to demonstrate to more junior members of our team the value of thrift-------- so I booked an ex EU (OSL) Y+ 660 GBP fare into EWR with a return from JFK and used a GUF1 to, at the time of booking, to upgrade into J.

The goal for me now is to ensure I regain GGL this year and maximise the benefits as a self funded FF next year.

The more junior members of the team have paid GBP900 for their Y fares from LHR. (The trip to OSL for me to start this is GBP40 plus points. :) )

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I'm up to 3000 tier points now, post retaining my QF P1 for another year, and GGL is still looking feasible if I allocate all my upcoming flights to BA.

I've got my first joker, but I haven't tried to use it yet, given the need for all those remaining tier points.

For those who are interested - BA has now removed the extra TP requirement to qualify for the CCR. If you can manage to get a GGL card, it will now get you into the CCR (LHR and JFK). So no more white card. And still no access to the SIN CCR.

So how many GGLs are there here in Australia, now that we can freely discuss being in Australia. I've been there since 2014, when QFF launched the enhancements back then.

Well there are a few on AFF, so extrapolating that out would be, um, more than a few. ;)
