Can you imagine what it used to be like in Hahndorf when the main road went through there (before the freeway) was built. It used to take about 90 minutes to get to Murray Bridge from Adelaide and if there was a broken down truck on the hill then you just waited. AND our old Holden always used to boil going through the hills

I like the Playford - it's just a nice hotel. Have a wonderful time in Adelaide. It's going to be nice tomorrow. I think it's your birthday Friday isn't it?

Yes, not until Friday :)

After our afternoon swim, spa and nap, we had dinner downstairs. We only had ice-cream for lunch so looking forward to this.

Pork belly for me,

I wish I could post the video but hubby loved the hazelnut parfait, they pour melted choc.

And on entry to the hotel, they have a welcome drink and today it's a warm salted orange chocolate.

Wonderful dinner, we had the sweetheart table near the window looking outside and then we were rolled upstairs to chill because after that, way too relaxed to do anything else.

Haighs visit was good, no photos but very hands on process, which partly explains the pricing. Poor staff, randoms wandering in and staring at them.

The grandson apprenticed with Lindt for while.

Spent $65, hubby picked out a lot of individual pieces and I got the caramel bars and choc berries.

They had a giant frog for $30.

Amazed that at their free coffee bar no hot chocolate!

But again when you walk in, smells amazing.

Glad you liked Haighs - we're very proud of here.

The earth didn't move for me last night

Loving your TR @Denali
Living in ADL I've seen some of the silos but never stopped to look at them. Sometimes we turn off at Tailem Bend and drive via Ouyen, other times we go via Keith. +1 keeps suggesting that I jump on my bike and get away for a few days so you have spurred me into action. I'll plan a trip similar to yours and go look at the silos whilst we still live in ADL.
