So Qld finally seceded.Outside the Caloundra Post Office
Is that only relevant in Queensland? So Qld finally seceded.
I was wondering which country you referenced when you said; "Codeine detection means loss of licence." I now know that is the illustrious Free State of Queensland.Thank you.
whoops I was taking codeine in the UK and driving. How long does it take to get out of your systemIt is law here in the UK.
Too long evidently.whoops I was taking codeine in the UK and driving. How long does it take to get out of your system
Have just done a first aid course, the instructor had a CPR shield folded into a tiny pouch attached to his keyring. 30 compressions, 2 breaths is the current MO and yes compressions if you're not prepared to do breaths is the recommendation. There are face shields with one way valves available (and apparently should be /likely to be) in any AED cabinet if it helps with the icky...Many people think that mouth to mouth is icky - and it is. So they baulk at doing any CPR.
However even if you can't do M2M you can still do chest compressions. It's is much better than nothing
Sadly - its seems a requisite character trait for those of us who went to medical school. But I think nothing of the few good deeds I've done. I allow myself to be always burdened by my many errors and sins.
I have a lung condition and as such have a high heart rate and the lung specialists are concerned so referred me to one of the cardiologiists who did not appear to be concerned. Now I don't know whether to be concerned or not.Cardiologist visit recently expressed no concern for high heart rates, suggested I do not even record it !!
Does Queensland have loss of licence for codeine detection? So Qld finally seceded.

This is where becoming a pathologist is somewhat difficult for the general feeling of 'doing good' for humanity. The vast majority of time I am diagnosing patients with the worst news of their lives. Every day when I call other physicians I introduce myself and they think (or often out loud) say "oh noooo". It is so incredibly rare I call to give good news, but I treasure those calls every time.Sadly - its seems a requisite character trait for those of us who went to medical school.
Although (if I may) re: your last line
…. I am certain your good deeds likely outweigh any errors by several orders of magnitude (although as doctors the latter tend to overwhelm the former in our thoughts.![]()
I would also think that your increased exercise helps with inflammation around your joints. One doctor I spoke to said if only he could sell exercise in a pill.I guess everyone is different, I have a stent but no heart attack and everything reads normal in the clinic
As I have become fitter my heart rate has increased under stress and I made a point of explaining what I was doing.
I was relieved to hear that it isn't an issue and assume I am going to die of something else...

I think that's dependent on a couple of factors. I have severe osteo in my big toe and at the time I was crazy fit. He told me not to do any exercises that impacted on that toe because it will make it significantly worse.I would also think that your increased exercise helps with inflammation around your joints. I wear Skechers sneakers that rock on the sole so no pressure on the big toe. Yes, walking is fine with those but not any other kind which for dressing up etc are worn sparingly. The surgery they said would not create a good result, my big toe would no longer sit with the foot but stick up. No thanks. Just occasionally I get shrieking jolt of pain in the joint. Just random.I guess you have an orthotic for that? I too have osteo in my R big toe - had an operation that didn't help. Have an orthotic to tilt the foot so less pressure on the toe. Also have Xerlero shoes that has a stiffer sole, again to protect the toe.
Now I can do 10-15,000 steps without an issue, but it does get sore occasionally.
