50,000 km is too early to be indicative
Maybe at the end of warranty would be informative or at 200,000km

More important to me is cost of replacement battery if out of warranty.

Nah. Just buy a new car.
And mine never make 50k let alone 200!

£4,175 in 1965 is roughly £96,000 - £100,000 in today's money when adjusted for inflation, but yes, still a decent uplift.
