It’s more like who hasn’t got that after a certain age. Comes with the territory.
True. Not really surprised. It was inevitable. I was hoping it would hold off a little longer. Need to fast track retirement and focus on the golf trips.

Not sure I'll be able to cope when that day comes where I can't play golf.

I had to give up dancing exercise because of advanced osteo in my foot. I can have surgery to reduce the bone overgrowth in my big toe but at a minimum that means 6 weeks in a moon boot. If it doesn’t work out they would fuse the toe joint meaning it won’t flex so it will remain straight = granny shoes. I won’t wear them. Sucks. I can swim for exercise. I hate swimming for exercise.

What's the matter with granny shoes? Grannies look quite fetching sometimes :p

Hope so too. I'm nervous. Mum is nervous. Mum said I should have taken wife and daughter back to Sydney this weekend but I'm going alone.
Any hospital admission is a worry for those close, and an operation more so. Hope you and your brother (have a feeling you said you had a brother - oops if not) are able to support your mum at this time. Once the op is over and things settle down, I'm sure she will feel better.

Yes I do have a brother. Mum will be ok. We went through all of this back in 2005 when dad had a valve replaced. They botched the operation and he was still bleeding for 12 hours before they opened him up again. :(

The treatment we got from RPA was poor at best including the nurses. Mum and dad continue to donate once a year which is more than they'll ever get from me.

Hopefully it will be better this time. Twelve years means improvements in treatment and management of surgery.

Improvements in treatment may have improved but if the same nurses are there and haven't been counselled on how yo deal with patients and family then nothing has changed.

In saying that this operation may not be as bad as the operation 12 years ago.

Bronchitis and Sinus Infection ☹️

And in less than 2 days, I have around 24 hours in a plane or 2.

Grrr. Scalp psoriasis driving me batty. Does anyone have any ideas other than the following I’ve tried: elecon cortisone cream, clobex cream (the shampoo works reasonably well); the usual otc shampoos, coal tars etc. I can’t do the UV exposure due to sun issues plus location. I’m on treatment for lupus and APS if that makes any difference.

Just a note that many shampoos labelled "coal tar" no longer have it as an ingredient - it's just "coal tar fragrance".

Neutropenia TGel therapeutic shampoo I think that’s what it’s called. Uncertain as to its efficacy
