One of my staff had to isolate for 14 days as she attended a cafe that was a tier one site. She had been back at work less than a week before learning the person she had trained at the gym with tested +ve. So back into iso. She swears she isn't going near anyone again for a very long time.

It really seems to be going backwards in Europe. Ireland too with 92% of adults fully vaccinated looking at vaccine passports and work from home proposals.

Its not surprising that demand for travel ex AU is soft.

It is why I booked to go to Europe at the height of Summer next year as it will be an 8 week trip and I want to be able to country hop (while I have friends there I don't have close family there to induce me to rush over), as I wanted to wait and see what happened after a European Winter, and also with more time by the relevant authorities to see what is actually required to keep things under control and to allow them to tweak things. ie What mix of vaccination %, what age cohorts (ie young children), booster doses and public health measures.

We are still in the early days of living with Covid in a vaccination world. Plus if there is one thing we know about Covid it is that the waves keep coming, and that the virus keeps evolving. So how robust each country is to those waves only time will tell. Hopefully in time the waves will only be moderate ones.

So far Portugal is still looking quite good with its combination of measures including its whole of population 86.6% fully vaxxed rate.

Whereas so far some countries vaccination rates are too low to tempt me to visit.

Is there anyone who were able to get igG antibody test to determine how much antibodies you still have few month after second dose?
In some countries it is very easy to just self request in any pathology nearby. But I haven't heard anyone doing this in Australia.

Well confirmed full nationwide lockdown for Austria for at least 3 weeks with compulsory vaccination!!! This is a first!
