Aaaargghhh! About 100m out of Hartwell and now a tree branch across the overhead wires! And this time I'm stuck on the train.

And to close out my transport saga, no problems at all on the Alamein train going home tonight...'cos there wasn't one! :rolleyes: Bus from Camberwell instead. And even then I thought he was not going to stop at Ashburton.

Anyway, a pleasant dinner, once I finally got there. :)
 
It was great To catch up with everyone that made it, especially some faces I haven't seen for 1-2 years.

After Mamasita was packed we relocated to an alternative venue. As it turns out tupekastar's delayed arrival was timely as we moved full circle back to Blue Train for dinner.



I tried to be "responsible" and get the second-last train service home, which was cancelled, so I shall now be getting the last service anyway. It seems tupekastar is not the only AFFer affected by Melbourne trains today!
 
Was good to catchup with faces both old and new, had a good night this evening and just retiring to bed now after a quick nightcap:!:
 
I must apologise for my generally anti social behaviour for the evening; Was still recovering from the prior evenings festivities :-|

Well it was good to see you on the train!! haha! i did fall asleep after you got off but woke up just in time!

Was great to see everyone again.. Drewbles you were very unwell and you must have been bad if a beer didn't even pick you up! :mrgreen:

I can attest to the impressive nature of the previous evenings festivities.. ;)

Was also good to see old faces and meet new ones tonight! :)
 
Thanks all again for a great weekend, Fi and I had a marvelous time. Ended up on a brand new DJ plane with the new interior and quite enjoyed the cutout in the bulkhead that row 3 offered.

I got a "welcome back" as I boarded the plane (DJ gold) but notice that in their PA announcement that they don't address elites, just as J and whY. :)
