Seems like they have done this.. There is a MEL-PER flight at 0540 on friday and only $150!!!

Also another flight at 0020 Saturday morning!

I'd be suprised if QF had staff at domestic at that time :shock:.. They normally finish up at domestic at 9pm latest..

I crystal balled 3 tickets to MEL only to find a fourth wanted to go but needed a work clearance.
The last person who took an unauthorized day off got pictured and spotted by his employer. The web,Twitter,Facebook type sites are providing permanently embarrassing evidence for "sickie takers".
So that meant goodbye to $1400 and included a midnight flight once his employer said ok to go.

Several international flight leave at Midnight, 2am and 3am

I believe the reference regarded MEL and the flight that is departing MEL at 0020.

Probably after most pax for QF29 are checked in they may shift their staff back to dom to get the PER flight checked in.

As far as I know, if you don't have a facebook profile, you can't be "named" on a photo. I get labeled with the name of a relative if my photo shows up, as he is the only one in my family who has an account.

And then there are places like AFF and Flyertalk where we have gatherings and DO's and people post photos or links to online photo albums with usernames. Sure not everyone knows the real name of someones's username but it is not that difficult to get if you know how.

I am booked on Friday's 11:55 AM Departure PER-MEL (not a Dockers fan though, only going home). This flight has disapeared from the booking engine now so seems fully booked or probably oversold.

I was wondering if QF offers VDBs, and if so how to best get it and what to expect? Wouldn't mind to go on a later flight if it pays off.

Btw does a high fare class increase my chances for an op-up? Probably not if enough WP and SG are on board. I am booked in Y, I think that one-way alone was some $1100. Only booked yesterday as one of the last available Economy seats, when I checked 30 mins later it only showed Business class left, now it completely disapeared.

I would think your chance of getting an upgrade on that plane to be pretty low unless you are flying it. Seat 00A and seat 00B should have the best views.
Look if you do get upgraded because coach is overly full you would be a lucky doer for sure.
The Dockers have not played at the MCG this season so it is easy to see how a team like Collingwood have a ground advantage in the finals.

You can put their name on it, it just doesn't link to a Facebook profile and just shows up as plain text instead.

That may well be the way but unfortunately over time people get to know your real name due to various reasons like pre-payment.

Not saying that anything bad is going to happen but it is simply another avenue for people to track you down. And not all of them end up as happy endings.
