I'd be interested to know how you go moving your existing reservations across to the Platinum account. I have a Advantage Plus / Silver membership, so not sure if that will complicate things further...

I dont think there is an easy way to transfer your reservations. I just rebooked all my future ones on the new platinum account and went through and cancelled the other ones. If you do it this way make sure you do cancell the old ones as you will get charged if they turn up as no shows.
As for your points, just use your old account untill you have the minimum points to use for a reward, use them up, then dont use that account again.
 
Forgive my ignorance, but is Le Club the same as A|Club? If not, what is the difference? Thanks

Looks very much like a standard reply which you get when you ask any question of any loyalty club. You havent actually got them to do anything yet. Let us know if they actually do anything for you

It took a fair while however, my guess is it would be easiest to simply call/email the hotel in question
 
Well that didnt take long. I signed up to this a bit over a week ago and just got my first call from Accor Advantage Plus. They really need to get some better consultants. I was actually semi-interested given I have a lot of travel coming up over the next year but I was pushed for time so when he started asking me about my travel preferences, how often I travel, where I go etc I just asked him to cut to the chase and tell him what he was offering. He then said he wanted me to tell him if the product would be suitable for him. I said I can't tell him if its suitable before he tells me what it is. Then...he hangs up! I couldn't believe it.

He probably had a 60% chance of getting me to sign up but given I asked him to speed up his spiel he lost his commission for the day. No way in well would I consider signing up after that. It has left a very sour taste. Probably for the best based on comments from some others about Accor Advantage Plus.
 
The link given appears to be the normal LeClub sign up. Where does it state "platinum" promo? Has anyone actually received platinum from this link?
 
Yep, used it last night, and at the end of the process was Platinum (wasn't a member at all prior).

upgraded to a suite after advising them of the number AFTER my standard room had been issued at time of check in.

now the Accor group did get my booking because I wanted to try this. Otherwise would have been another brand.

What did you say I get the upgrade?

Have you signed up before using the same email address?

I already had an existing A Club membership so when I entered my email address in the first step after clicking on the link in post #1 it went into that profile so will not convert an existing membership to Platinum so you need to sign up again but this time use an alternate email address.

When I used a different email address the link worked so at the end of the signup process I was Platinum.

Also don't be confused by the titles/salutation in the drop down menu which are Dr Pan Pani & Prof. Had me stumped until I noticed the default country is 'Polski' so when I changed that to English the usual Mr Ms etc then appears in the menu.

I called the CSO number and got them to transfer my points and request my reservations be moved. All settled in about a week I think from memory.
People dis Le Club Accor but I have stayed in beautiful rooms I would never have been able to justify, almost always got the late checkout I requested and often got free wifi and sometimes free breakfast w the upgrades. So it is definitely something for nothing for me, especially if you buy on sale.
PS at 1:1 for points to QF it is also a nice little bonus.
