Can’t wait to go back to Qantas with this now.

I must say I continue to be pleasantly surprised with the recognition Accor have been giving me with this partnership with Qantas. I take back all my misgivings!

Accor was one hotel chain that set low standards and failed to achieve them !

That was then, this is now. I got a bump up to Plats so I endulged my presence recently at the Sofitel (SYD) and the Pullman (CNS), QF points posted in 24 hours, even recognition blah blah (the soft stuff that was hit and miss) has improved.

It’s fair to conclude Accors’ improvement could related to some ’straighten up and fly right’ infused efficiencies from the QF relationship? I recall the program was delayed being rolled out - maybe that reflected the initial incompatibilities in the programs?

When promotion came out I created an Accor account for MrsM and signed her up. I had not given it a second thought since that time, out of curiosity I signed into her account today and she is gold.

Has anyone tried getting gold status benefits when booked through Qantas Hotels?
You still receive your welcome drink and percentage discount at the restaurant.
(I had booked a Novotel through Qantas to use my hotel voucher.)

I’d be surprised if it happens regularly. Accor are pretty strict on booking through their official channels only
Yeah. Booked a hotel in Thailand through QF… NO benefits as booked through a third party. I couldn’t understand how that was possible given the partnership and cross-promotion.

How did you go about getting your Accor number linked to the booking? Emailed before your stay?

The percentage discount is an AccorPlus feature? That discount applies whether or not you have a booking at all.

I have linked Accor with my QF account, so bookings always have the Accor membership number. For the drink and food discounts, I just showed my Accor ALL membership card on check on and at the restaurant. The night’s stay isn’t recognised on my Accor account, but other benefits are given.

I’m also waiting to see what happens. I’m not PC+ but did get a prior extension to Dec 22 from ALL Accor.

I’ll believe it when I see it come thru but if it doesn’t I’ll probably just renew an Ibis Business package for comp Gold.
It‘s that time of year when calendar year based loyalty programs start ticking over. Accor seems to be first cab off the rank!

I never did get my Gold extension to Dec 2023 via this promo offer and I see now that I’ve dropped to Silver (looks like it just scrapped over 2000 pts last year).

But it’s also showing “Fastrack”. Did I miss something there? Maybe the QF WP thing. The website is telling me 2000 to retain Silver. The app is just showing 7000 to get Gold. So not sure what’s fast in the “Fast Track”…

No drama for me anyway. I’ll just sign up to Ibis Business prior to my next Accor stay (or see if QBR sends me another promo for Accor+ with comp Gold).

Edit: earlier today, last years nights / spend was still showing but both have been reset to zero. Still showing “Fast Track” however.

Correct @oz_mark . An Accor+ member can visit any participating restaurant in an Accor hotel and avail themselves of the 25% discount irrespective of whether they are staying there. Indeed, I had a nice lunch at the Movenpick Hobart when I was staying at my usual $80/night hole in the wall accommodation back in April! 😂

One thing to note about Accor+ is the benefits on hotel and restaurant discounts are exclusively for Accor properties in Asia-Pacific so won't help you much if you are visiting Europe or heaven forbid North America (where I still maintain to this day that Accor doesn't exist there). You can see a list of current Accor+ hotel discounts here in case you are curious

Having been on 3 different fast tracks, I have never seen the fast track tag disappear.

Recently we found a couple of properties in the UAE also proactively applied the discounts. I certainly wasn’t expecting it and it was a nice surprise

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

While something for nothing is always nice, ALL Gold doesn't count for much. A welcome drink is about all that's guaranteed. Which I guess is why Accor are happy to hand out that status for the tens of thousands of QFF members who would be PCP/Silver or above.
Th other benefit is qff points as well with ALL

My ALL Gold status has been retained for 2023, and it was showing in December 2022.

However, during that month, I did join Accor Plus as well, so potentially some crossover with that, as it wasn't showing before I took out that membership.
As it is, I only had a 1-night stay in 2022, so for 2022, it certainly wasn't retained due to earning.

Anyway, I have a number of bookings already in for 2023, so hope to make much use of the Gold status this year.
Now, to check for a Fast Track option to obtain Platinum.

Happy New Year to all

Accor+ comes with Silver status. So you’ve done ok ticking over Gold - if that’s the reason.

I did get an offer to join a business form of Accor+ but it was offering a special promo to gift Gold status. I didn’t take since I was already Gold and Ibis Business is probably better value for my circumstances.
