Hi there, I'm new to this forum and was hoping for a bit of help. My family and I are travelling with our 6 month old baby to Bali in a few weeks time, from Brisbane in business class. Given that it is our first time travelling with a baby I want to make sure we are super organised (and from what I've heard, we shouldn't expect too much from this flight).

My questions are:
1. Do you get lounge access in Brisbane Int Airport on the way to Bali?
2. What meals should we expect to receive?
3. Will we be allowed to check our pram at the gate (as opposed to at checkin)?

From what I've heard (and read on this forum) the Brisbane to DPS flight on Virgin (irrespective of class) leaves little to be desired. For this reason I want to make sure we are well prepared!

I've never done it but there is no substitute for planing and organisation.

Plan for everything to go wrong and you will have a pleasant flight. I remember flying with s young family through Asia. Some great lessons there

Slight tangent. I'm flying DPS - BNE.

Being the bne virgin lounge is in the domestic airport virgin says access is to air New Zealand.

I assume this is the lounge you will get in as a business passenger flying virgin metal from bne intl.

I arrive at 0130ish and all I'll want is a good coffee at that time but would be interested if you are allowed entry on arrival into bne at the koru lounge

AFAIK there are no arrivals lounges at BNE international and at 1.30am there are certainly no lounges open with the exception of the EK lounge in departures waiting for EK433 to depart at the pleasant time of 2.35am.

Hi.

I flew MEL to DPS in Business and we used the Air New Zealand Lounge. The hard product is poor and the only bonus being business class was the short queue for the toilet. That was the last time i used Virgin. I did complain and got a $100 credit but threw it in the bin.

Haven't noticed silver on there before... Or is it a DPS thing?

I think it's just a very old sign- they used to let every man and his dog into the priority queue but soon realised most pax were in this list so there was no priority

Standard for Silver's to get Priority Check-In Internationally - It's the Flexi part that caught my attention!
Having said that, you'd most likely be a Silver/Gold/Plat if you had a Flexi booked anyway so....

No domestic priority boarding for Silver or Flexi.

The sign is for priority check-in, not boarding. Silver has Priority Check-in as per the Velocity homepage:

Nothing mentioned in the Intl Short Haul Flexi fare rules/benefits though. Probably just an old sign that DPS inherited.

Had a total of 37 pax on the flight last night! How can that flight even come close to break even?!
