Re: Status match from Qantas Gold to AirFrance-KLM Gold & SkyTeam ElitePlus

One of the conditions on entry to the SkyTeam partner lounges however is that your travel must be on the partner airline on the same day as your international flight on a SkyTeam airline. There goes my idea of arriving in London with QF having a few days in town then travelling onto Air France services and gaining access to their lounge.

Also this is interesting, their web site says [h=3]Platinum for Life[/h]Your Platinum membership is yours for life after 10 consecutive years of Platinum membership. With Platinum for Life, you can rely on travel privileges for the rest of your days, and enjoy full Platinum benefits without ever needing to re-qualify again.

Wish QF would do something like that...

Why? Air France aren't a partner in this case, they're the actual airline you (will) hold status with..

The fine prints at the bottom of the page says "Flying Blue offer is valid until 28 February, 2013 and is only valid for Danish residents." Good luck to those who have applied.

That could explain why nothing has happened to my account...

Dont suppose anyone got or heard anything back from applying for this status match?

Offer is valid for Nordic countries only, if you are out of that range, then please forget about it.

Nothing. And since we all got the splash screen saying "Congratulations you're now Gold" it would be nice if they said something.

Very surprised to receive an email this morning from Flying Blue telling me I am now Flying Blue Gold and therefore Skyteam Gold.

Confirmed by logging in and my status has been updated.

Nothing here. What program did you match it with?

I just logged in the Flying Blue website and I am now Gold! I haven't flown AF or KLM since 1986...
I'll have to go do some reading about Skyteam now...

Actually, i just looked again. I'm gold here too! Can anyone find when the status expires? The site is a bit tricky to navigate.

I would say December 31 2013.
1.2.8 On 31 December of each year, the level in the Programme to which a Member is to be entitled the next year will be determined by the number of Level Miles accumulated or the number of Qualifying Flights made from 1 January until 31 December of that same year. The address which counts towards the Member´s level is the mailing address provided in his account. All accumulated Level Miles and Qualifying Flights will be subtracted from the Member´s FB account, unless otherwise indicated in FB Communication.
