Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Signup/Login to FlyPay, add your flybuys details + buy something online using FlyPay = 2,000pts

Never used or even heard of FlyPay so will have to figure it out but just seems like a means of paying for things online so shouldn’t be too hard. Has anyone used it before?
I used that offer, rather easy.

Also the Klarna app 1 puchase for 5000 points.
I've had some issue with this one though, made a purchase thru it, but the app hasn't recognised my purchase. Will wait another week, see what unfolds, if anything. Couldn't find any contact on the site to ask for confirmation.

It's a BNPL thing, buy over 4 payments, I purchased in 1 payment, have to look into it bit closer.
anybody know more about it, Klarna?

thanks

4k for $100. 20% is a decent return but i'll need to pull back sooner rather than later.

Completed the $30 for 4 weeks on baby products, 7500pts points received.

After a few 2000pts for $120+ I refused to entertain, have received a 5200 for $130 spend, still ordinary ~10%, but idea of ignoring some offers, improved offers do come along.

This week's targetted Coles offer. About a 20% cashback offer. However, that's WAY too much spend for my liking! $140 might be a reasonable weekly spend for a couple but not for a bachelor's on a graduate stipend 😅

For a family of 5, dealing with rival offers (C v WW) a weekly spend hurdle of 2x $50 for 4 weeks is a challenge. There are only so many 500g coffee tins you can stockpile (when on special at $14) for example. With rice (1/2 price) at $8 for 5kgs - 2 bags last a while. Though Aldi is to blame with their very low relative price staples removing a decent number of otherwise bill increasing items.

Never assuming....

Do AFF'ers stock up on half price specials (when it is something you normally use) and buy 2 or 3 or 4 (or more) or just buy the normal weekly quantity of the half price items?

Yes, storage can be an issue but....

It is rare to see someone 'stocking up' with the 1/2 price specials. A couple of times, over the years, we've asked if they knew they were half price this week (when we see just one in the trolley behind us while waiting at the checkout) & everytime without fail they say yes they know but only buy one when they need it.

Yet when there's a lockdown approaching there seems to be a 'Jeckyl & Hyde' moment and people buy multiple at full price!

I don't stockup, usually jump at the half price specials, pending I actually use the product, but would only buy 2, so like paying for 1 item & getting a 2nd free.

I don't believe in stock piling, C & WW just a stones throw away, no need.

re hitting offers buy amount, always manage to hit the shop re'q & put items aside that were not essential.

There can be dangers of buying more than the normal weekly load though.

Like this week's 1/2 price 500g Mission Deli Corn Chips (3 varieties) at $2.75, so $5.50/kg.

After all who'd notice if there are only 3 not 4 in the top of the pantry ;)

Yes I stock up. We have a few core items that we use a lot of. If I have a spend amount around $60 or $70 I’m happy to buy 20 or 30 bottles of coconut water @half price for example. Or a dozen large boxes of cereal. Stuff we go through quickly or doesn’t perish.

Got caught out by a Flybuys marketing trick. Grrr

A couple of family member accounts received $50 spend at First Choice Liquor for 2 weeks in a row to get 8000 points or $40. I naturally preferred the 8000 points and as the website is becoming more difficult to use with multiple family member accounts used the Flybuys app to register. Unfortunately for one of the activations I hit the $40 by mistake. Oh well, still good value so went with it.

Have now completed both and went to the account where I selected 8k points and sure enough they immediately posted. Went to the other account and didn't see any reward - I assumed $40 would be put on the FB's card. I read the T&C's more closely and found out that $40 credit would be applied after the spend had been made but was very surprised that it stated that it was only going to be a credit applied when I make a purchase in store of a First Choice Liquor store, what's more within 30 days of date of issue.

Seems a fair discrepancy in flexibility in receiving points (which were worth $40) or receiving the credit. Grrr

This is normal and clealy stated. Also happens with the Coles offers.

Also note that your choice cannot be reversed, even if you accidently click the wrong option.

Still receiving spend $80 for 3,200 points despite not spending above $50/week on those accounts.

WW profits are increasing as a result!

I received a couple spend $120 for 5200 points which great value ~20%, now all of a sudden I didn't activate the last one as 2 in a week not viable for me so they go back & offer me a 2000points for $120 spend.

Why even bother with that kind of offer, really.

WW still offer me crumbs.

I keep getting healthy ones but mid weekers, that's a time I don't shop.

Have got a 9,200 points for $230 for shop between last Saturday and tonight; then a second one 3,000 for $200 between tomorrow (Wed) and Friday. They'll both expire

Just received a border-line offer from Coles:

Unless there are some additional bonus offers of several thousand points to stack upon I think I'll pass.

Finally a good one. 4 weeks/$60/10,000

If you intend to take it up, let's see what you get thereafter.

I got the four week one 6 weeks ago and max I've spent each week was $69.

After fulfilling the offer, I had:
$100 for 2000 points 3 days later (didn't take up)
$110 for 4400 points 3 days later (took this up)
$110 for 2000 points 3 days later (not taking up).
