Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

However is it worth for this once off to have your weekly spend future offers bumped up at least $10/wk if not $20 ongoing?
Depends what level you play the game at. Let's say your family spends $150/week on groceries.

If you can manipulate any combination of that across N accounts for members of your household (following the T&Cs of course) then as long as your total spend is not <$150, you're collecting points for the spend you would be doing anyway.

You may choose to follow targets up on one account while you discontinue use of another. You need to make the call whether the increased targets have a lower payoff i.e. 10k points for 4*50 is better than 10k points for 4*70, but 20k points for 4*150 is worse than both.

That said, if it impacts your spend, the organisation probably wins - and [admittedly without citing anything] I would be very surprised if organisations continued to run loyalty programs if they didn't win in the long run.

And then there's the cost of your own time doing all this math 🙃

Of course we wouldn't do that....

Nor would we find that sometimes, despite doing low to no transactions on a 'upped spend' account, it has taken nearly 9 months for the spend level to drop.

Perhaps it could be due to accounts being open for 20+ years who knows.

Back in the 'wondrous' offer days of 2,000 points for unlimited prepaid $100 MCs purchased using e-GCs - the one account used took over two years of near zero $$ transactions to drop back to something even worth contemplating ($70) and then another 6 months or so to come to $50.

The math, not a problem, the time delays in reverting to reasonable spend levels can be a severe cramp in earnings for SIA F.

Sniff, sniff, pre-CV, sniff, sniff.

I think this is the first time I've had an offer that comes with Velocity points, not flybuys points. FWIW my Velocity account is linked to my flybuys account but I don't have auto-transfer turned on.

I got spend $170 get 3,400 Velocity (on both our FB cards). Can't remember ever seeing a direct Velocity points offer like this before either.

Spend $90 for 1800 VFF points. I'm tempted, but have no plans to spend that much at Coles with this account. (I don't have auto-transfer turned on either)

Liquorland: 2000 points for $40 spend. I'll stack that with the general 2000 points for $50 spend online (see LL website).

Well I did this shop last Tuesday. The base points posted quickly to my Flybuys account, but I still haven't received any Velocity points.

Has anyone else received Velocity points yet from their offers?

Yes, I am expecting 5,000 points (I assume the amount quoted was an honest error) but the reply was still helpful. Now I know to expect it to take longer than it would for flybuys points to post.
