Hi there all
A few days ago I booked online with Budget and it asked what Frequent Traveller Programme I wished to link it with. I want to use FLYBUYS but when scrolling through the list it only shows New Zealand FLYBUYS so temporarily until I confirm with Budget, I have linked it with that.

I have emailed them but have not got a reply and Budget is definately a partner with FLYBUYS in Australia.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this particular problem or whether anyone else has a firm answer in regards to linking with Flybuys.

cheers in advance.

Hi there, sorry you've had trouble. We're just wondering if you were booking outside of Australia (e.g. on Budget's NZ website). flybuys definitely features as a drop-down option on https://www.budget.com.au/ Budget's terms and conditions state you are able to earn flybuys points from Budget only for car hire in Australia.

If you wish to earn flybuys points for car hire outside of Australia, you can do so from multiple providers (at $1 = 1 point) via flybuys travel - www.flybuystravel.com.au - hope this helps.

I have rung Budget Australia today and the problem is because we are RapidRez members when you try to log in it takes you to an overseas site. They told me I have to re write our applications again to make any changes. This means we have to fill out a total of 4 pages scan them and email them to have the changes take place. Time consuming and barely worth the effort.
Welcome to the 21st century

Wlel after a week of doing my head in, ringing emailing Budget sales and Budget RapidRez department there is still no definitive answer as to why Australian Flybuys do not show for RapidRez members who wish to claim points for flybuys. All they can say is that the website is only a year old and they are having teething problems. The thing is that noone will take ownership of the problem. NZ flybuys show but not Australian Flybuys and even Virgin Atlantic shows but not Virgin Australia.
RapidRez told me most people claim Qantas points and that I could to but I want flybuy points.
The only real answer I can get is that they are flashing emails off to sales and to Media Dept to see if they can fix it.

Just to iterate, I start on Budget Australia site but as soon as I enter my RapidRez number it transfers to .com. Their rapidRez site is in NZ by the way. I have emailed my updated details on the RapidRez forms but they can only use NZ Flybuys which is not affiliated with Australian Flybuys.
If I do not put in my Rapid Rez number it will show Australian Flybuys and if I book as such and then add my RapidRez number, it will only recognise NZ Flybuys which is my default in my profile. As I sais no Oz flybuys and no Virgin Australia.

The whole thing has flattened me and I have given up for now.
Just another point. If I go through Flybuys Travel, its 1 point per $ earnt, If I go through Budget it is supposed to be 3 points earnt.
Perhaps the @FLYBUYS rep can look into this debacle.

i wish to use Rapidrez because I wanted to use it for what its intended to be used for and that is flashing through Budget both ways without being stalled. Its very handy indeed.

Thanks for your further feedback; we're sorry this has been frustrating for you; we were unaware of the difficulty for Rapid Rez customers. We'll follow up with Budget.

Thanks for that @FLYBUYS hope you can get some sort result for me as there is still no fix from Budget. Can you let me know how you go??
cheers in advance

2 weeks plus since I 1st spoke to Budget about the RapidRez (FastBreak) problem and no closer to solving the problem, just wondering if @FLYBUYS has had any contact with them about it???

@FLYBUYS
I had a call from Budget marketing and they have assured me that although it shows New Zealand FLYBUYS, it is a gliche in the system and they are working to solve it. Apparently I am the 1st person who has bothered to follow up on this problem. I also pointed out that Virgin Australia is not on the dropdown list either and they will fix that at the same time.
Anyway for now atleast things seem solved and I will be awarded the FLYBUYS for my Budget Rental.
I will follow up and comment here
I just had a real bee under the bonnet in that the problem was being ignored but alls well that ends well
