Mrs bnebased and I flew on 3 pairs of AA sectors, each pair on the "same" day. Our activity statements are in different orders. (These lists seem be in in reverse chronological order.) Mine are:

21 JUL 17 AA 1596 BUSINESS 19JUL17 DENVER/LOS ANGELES
21 JUL 17 AA 7409 BUSINESS 19JUL17 LOS ANGELES/BRISBANE
13 JUL 17 AA 1131 BUSINESS 12JUL17 NEW YORK/DALLAS FORT WORTH
13 JUL 17 AA 501 BUSINESS 12JUL17 DALLAS FORT WORTH/DENVER
22 JUN 17 AA 7380 BUSINESS 21JUN17 BRISBANE/LOS ANGELES
22 JUN 17 AA 7363 BUSINESS 21JUN17 LOS ANGELES/NEW YORK

Her list shows the pairs each day in the reverse order, which is correct (ie, the order flown). Why does it matter to me? My status changed during one of the days (while hers did not). As a result QF has done me out of some bonus points.

I flew AA1596 before AA7409. However they credited the flights in the reverse order. This means I received the silver bonus on AA1596 (275 miles) instead of on AA7409 (1875 miles), so I have been "diddled" out of 1600 miles.

As far as I can see I can claim online for missing flights, but don't seem able to try to fix incorrect bonuses. I tried ringing: first call 1 hour on hold before I gave up; second call connected after a few minutes, but after I tried explaining the problem for about 10 plus minutes the call dropped out. Was the operator sick of me? (She certainly did not understand my explanation of the problem.) Anyway, I rated the call 112 (ie, as bad as it gets).

Is it worth the agony of trying to get this fixed? If so, what is the most likely way of getting anywhere?

No, I don't think 1,600 QFF points are worth the agony.

May I suggest sending an email to [email protected] outlining exactly what you've said in your post. You'll probably get a response in around a fortnight. If they decide to award you the extra bonus points, great. If not, I wouldn't be losing any sleep over it.

Thanks for that email address. I did not find it on the QF web site, but I guess I looked in the wrong place. Yes, I will send an abbreviated version and won't lose any sleep over it.

I thought the AFF community might be interested/amused at the out of order crediting issue, especially since the exact same flights credited in the correct order on my wife's account.

It is curious; I have frequently had sectors crediting out of order, but that fact that you had the same sectors, together, with different order is interesting (but only to those of us on AFF :) ). Just to complete the picture, were you on the same PNR and is there a difference in your status?

I mostly travel with Mrs 340 and am struggling to remember an itinerary in the last six months where our flights credited in the same order.

Yes, same PNR. Yes, different status: I was bronze till my "last" sector; she was silver for the first two sectors, then gold.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I sympathise with your predicament as when I initially went from NB to SG I had only flown 2 of my 4 squiggle flights (for that membership year) prior to doing the AA flights whereas SO had so despite flying the exact same flights in the same classes. He was SG by the the time we arrived back in Oz and I was stuck on NB until our HNL/xSYD/BNE flights credited.

Over the new year period we had a number of MH J flights, which only post to QF once a week, as well as a QF flight at the end.

The MH J flights would have made my 2.5 year old daughter's QFF tick over to Silver, but the MH flights posted after the last QF at the end.

Hence she missed out on 1950 bonus points as she was still bronze when the QF flight posted.

A quick call to FF service centre took a little bit of explanation but agent understood, and applied a points adjustment for the bonus points she should have got had the MH flights posted sooner.

Give them a call to fix should be easy for them.

Wish it were so. As it happens I had to call QF on another matter so gave it a try again about a week ago. This time the agent eventually seemed to understand, but told me I had to email my request in. Since I already did so I expect Anna's "No, I don't think 1,600 QFF points are worth the agony." in #2 pretty much nails it.
