Flex Y for me & sale for the rest in one booking

Hi all,

I wonder if it is possible to book a flex Y return ticket for say myself and sale Y tickets for others in one booking please? I am planning a trip with my family. Since my travel will be work/holiday, work will pay for my ticket and then I can get the necessary status points.

In addition, is it possible to only request 1 upgrade when there are 4 pax in th booking?

Upgrades are 'one in all in'. If not enough points/seats for everybody to upgrade then no one is upgraded.

I assume you're looking for seating benefits for the family on your status? Maybe someone with more knowledge can advise if that is possible while retaining the possibility for your upgrade.

Would have to be two separate bookings but contact QF to TCP the bookings

Yep, very easy to get two separate bookings linked. I've done that with my in-laws on my last NZ trip and they were able to get row 4 seating five months out.
