I'm flying very regularly, my schedule changes constantly, so I book flex fares to maintain maximum options. Somehow I missed that tix can only be reissued once, then you have to call QF to make any further changes AND pay the phone fee!

Um, what kind of business would implement these idiotic rules which increase costs (since pax making changes online is minimal compared with staffing a call centre) and drive customers away (irritated by fees).

I'm also cross at myself for having missed this and for assuming QF would have sound policies on these things.

Grrrrr

That is the same for all fares, not just the flex.

There was mention of this change occuring on AFF some time last year.

I've changed flexi flight bookings multiple times online (before the first flight is taken) - in fact did it yesterday - that flight has changed 3 times. For other times when it is a return leg I have changed more than once online but sometimes the option is just not there (not sure why - maybe it is time related or QF Link related?) -so I just call QF platinum line and state I cannot make the change online and it is done every time without a phone booking charge.

Unless it is a new revenue stream for QF that was introduced overnight!

I also frequently change flex fares multiple times without bother
I have had to call up to change a return flight where I had had a points upgrade on the way out - and they charged a fee.

I have often changed flights - flexi fare - online more than once. Only time I was unable to do it was return leg of a heavily discounted return PE fare out of Singapore - I had to make the second change by the phone. Have you tried to convert it to a voucher and then booking it again? - not sure if there is a fee for this but I have done this to keep a changed flight alive on occasions.

Mate, QF is no longer our friend.
They are a business in dire straits, and have to cover costs, ie, staff and computer network charges, yada yada yada.
If I was a large business, I would do the same, give one allowed "free" change, and then charge.
Its like in the cleaning industry, we only empty the bin once next to each desk, if you decide to work late, and keep filling your bin with rubbish or paper or what ever, you bear with it till the next day when the bin gets emptied again, once only.
