So how many months is it since the great SABRE fiasco?

How come if I log in to Velocity and click "My Bookings" I STILL have to enter my booking number?

Not. Good. Enough.

Why isn't it (and myriad other issues) fixed yet? (having to enter my flipping address for EVERY booking!)

What other priorities COULD there be?

Extremely irritated... :evil::evil::evil:

Might go and lie down.

I feel your pain.

I fly once a fortnight with virgin for work which affords me around Gold status. It is painfull enough just to check in. Seeing as I have reached top tier P1 on QF recently, I thought I would put all my personal flying towards VA to reach Platinum. Seriously, the virgin and velocity websites are just a nightmare to use so I haven't bothered as yet and won't be doing anything more outside of work flights until they pull their finger out and do a serious overhaul. Websites and the internet are designed, I thought, to make these types of things easier and quicker. The web design management team should have a hard look at their philosophy.

I love having choice - and currently I choose NOT to fly Virgin when a I can.

I am Gold on Qantas and VA. I also find the VA and Velocity websites annoying and a total pain. This needs to be fixed and soon.

Yes still a lot of small issues that have been there even before Sabre upgrade.

Agree to all the points here, yet still no word from Virgin.

Very poor.

I don't waste time logging into velocity to manage my bookings. Just use the manage tab on the VA page and then log in using my velocity number. One log in and there I am at my bookings.

For the past few months I have not been able to access any bookings via the manage my booking function. Have tried both my velocity# and PNR but always get an error message.

The oh thing that works is online checkin. That is when I can finally select my seats.

VA do many things well, like others perplexed at why website is left in such a dire state for so long.

So I'm not alone...

Oh and I didn't use a swear word in the title - just the old fashioned cartoon symbols in case anyone was wondering.

The websites are terrible. The fact I have to re-enter my details (after already logging into Velocity) is annoying, but it really becomes frustrating when I finally get to the "Manage Booking" page, to find that I cannot select seats/make changes - because the booking was originally made through a third party.

Doesn't matter who you made the booking through...You have to ring, or wait till check-in.

I can't currently book rewards flights either... I plug all the details in and the only thing on the screen is
" Minimum Velocity Points:

Please note: you do not have the minimum Points required to book selected fares shown below. Please select an available option or modify your search. Alternatively, you can make a Standard Fare Booking"
No flight choices coming up at all. (And it's not that I don't have enough points for the sectors I've chosen, either!)

ETA: It's possibly a browser issue, not a Virgin problem by the looks of things - it does the above in Firefox but Chrome loads fine.

Just checked online and I can see award flight availibility so your problem may be specific to you? Can you get as far as the screenshot below?

Or are you hung up at the "Search" stage?

Thanks for checking - I get the above info instead of that page. I've just doublechecked on a different browser and it looks like it's Firefox being weird. No problem in Chrome! Next time I'll do the different browser thing before whinging :)

Very strange - that screenshot I stuck up was actually from Firefox as well, but a fairly old version running on a Windows PC, so the issue may be particular to certain versions of certain browsers that have problems displaying flight availibility......
