First reward flight SYD-LHR. Are my expectations too high?

This is not going to end well. Please be nice.
It will end fine. I am all charm and BS when required.

I will work the system - see previous post- and I will eat and drink QF1 empty as revenge.

My expectations have been tampered and as I've said, anything above J service will be great.

Definitely expect little and then be nicely surprised. Have a great trip. Working the system is recommended practice.

Unfortunately, they will run out of everything you want far sooner than you imagine. They may not even have loaded it in the first place. And I'm sure that you know how awful the chapagne is in the SYD F lounge beforehand. Maybe as an F flyer you might get something slightly better.

But in any case do enjoy it.

  • Consult one of our Sommeliers in the Lounge, about which fine Australian award-winning wines and champagne you’d like to match your meal.
I may be a bogan from the south side of the tracks but I know how to ask for nice stuff. I know what the junk is they give a Plat so I will be critical of the real F stuff.
Same on the plane. Only bring me a nice Cab Sav from SA my good man

Good luck!

Most significant carrier rule. The most significant carrier determines the checked baggage allowance across your journey. That’s pretty much an international standard, so applies to many airlines.

The rule doesn’t apply to hand luggage however. So that’s why there’s a difference!

Makes sense because some airlines have no weight limits for hand luggage, so other airlines don’t want to be on the hook for that, either cost wise or safety wise.
MSC does not apply, even for checked luggage, as Jetstar is not a member of IATA.
