Hi

Flying QF21 to Tokyo in premium economy but am Platinum so get access to the lounge. Are you able to pre book treatments in the Spa or do you book them when you arrive.

Thanks

Upon arrival. Only pax in first class get called before hand to make a booking.

Enjoy your visit. If checking in from SYD be there three hours prior and check in as soon as possible.

If transiting from another port then check all the way through an enjoy your earlier visit to the F lounge.

You will need to wait until you arrive - pre-booking is normally reserved for passengers travelling in the First Class Cabin (and maybe CL).

Best advice is to get there as early as you can.

I don't get this spa thing. What goes on in there? Do you need to take your togs?

No togs required and IMHO its nothing special. What is it with males and the need to visit a spa pre-flight  ?????
The treatments are ok but as I have stated numerous times before there are better spa options outwith the airport if you really need a great treatment ( facial/ massage/manicure)

I thought I was the only one not keen to head to the Spa, got to say I much prefer planespotting on the recliners with my new favourite drop of white which apparently is $80 a bottle .

I have had the back massage, and (almost embarassed to admit it) a facial (once!)....there were only 2 good things about the facial: the shoulder massage bit and when the treatment finished!!:oops:. Sorry ladies about the facial if you missed out because of me...first and last time I get a facial!!!!

Facials? Manicures? I have never used the spa treatment either and I really do not understand the attraction.

I admit to enjoying the massages, not so much the facial in SYD but MELB was great.

Took SWMBO to the lounge for the first time on the weekend.

Managed to score a treatment for her in the spa, and then the girl offered that they could squeeze me in for a massage whilst SWMBO got looked after.

It was nice (but also happy to have waited outside and enjoyed an extra glass of Tatt ;))

That said - spa treatment, eggs bene, veuve....... SWMBO conceded that the F lounge was "actually really nice" followed by "I'll still make fun of you and your lounge buddies flying solely so that you can use the lounge".....

Oh well - I still count it as a win ;)

Actually I have enjoyed both Melbourne and Sydney treatments in the First lounge. Mrscove suggested it to me when she realised I had been passing on getting a massage.
Don't let me convince you as I often see people getting turned away.

Don't be shy now Kevin! Facial's can be fun even for men and it only shows a man who really likes to look after themselves ;)

I'll readily put my hand up to say that I enjoy the 30 minute Swedish massage - no pain, no gain. Timing it right I have a massage followed by lunch and an extra drink or two. By that time I almost feel ready to fly out without the need for a plane! Seriously, find it helps put a 23 hr flight to LHR both in perspective and also maximum physical response.

I am sure the photo, or my poor eyesight, does not do the food justice but whatever it is to me the food looks awful. :-|
