I need a bit of advice from the brains trust on AFF.

My flights PER-KUL-BKK are the first segments on my QF OWA. The PER-KUL was delayed & a tight connection not helped my needing to use the train to get to the satellite terminal was missed. MH has rebooked me the next flight to BKK, this flight is on a different ticket number starting with 232, MH issued I guess.

The missed KUL-BKK is now showing as Booking status Unknown, all other flight currently still appear in CMT & have the same e-ticket number as they did prior to today. They are also showing on the QF website which today has decided not to like Firefox for some reason.

I guess what I want to know is this likely to affect the other flight & what actions can I take?

Thanks for any suggestions put forward.

You need to contact Qantas to ensure that the rest of the ticket is still intact and that the missing sector has been correctly removed from the existing ticket.

Malaysia airlines is supposed to fix it up but if it was a hasty new ticket issued they may not have had time to properly fix the rest of the booking.

Thanks @MEL_Traveller QF site has the change listed which I've just accepted. Had a look at the RJ website & under my PNR it shows both the original 081 ticket & the new MH 232 ticket number.

I'll try & call but as a bronze I'll be lucky to get someone competent.

That sounds promising!

The wait times aren’t too long. I’d tell them malaysia airlines issued an emergency ticket due to a flight delay, is the rest of the trip now ticketed correctly?

It appears to be, I've just checked the Finnair website & that also lists both ticket numbers & has the following notation on the emailed eticket receipts.

Restriction(s)/Endorsements : Invol Reroute Qf Ff Redemption

So I guess they are acknowledging that an issue has occurred that was not the passengers fault. Apart from booking a tight connection....

Yes, as long as the connection met the Minimum Connection Time (MCT) in the GDS, then you can't be accused of being at fault by booking what was available for sale. Especially since you can likely show that the delayed PER-KUL flight meant that the actual time you had in KUL was less than the MCT.
