Hi,
I've just changed a Malaysian frequent flyer booking from business to first - Mel-KUL-CDG but of course only the KUL-CDG leg is in first class as the MEL leg only has business class available.
It is an AA Advantage booking so the whole trip is charged at first class redemption rates.
Wondering since the whole ticket is first class points, do you get access to first class lounges in Melbourne? I'm guessing not so will have to wait till get to KUL to experience the first class lounge.
Also wondering what champagnes Malaysian will have available - my wife and I absolutely love true french champagne. Their video of first class has Dom available but wonder what other prestiges there might be also.
Either way it will be a great experience. Just got to love this forum for all the advice - got to learn about expert flyer, award nexus and monitoring availability. No first class was available when booked but just came up last night and snapped it up. They had 4 seats available and we took 2 of them and the rest of first class is still empty at the moment.
Thanks,
Dale.
