Finnair has taken a leaf out of American Airlines' book, replacing flights with bus services on two short-haul routes to/from Helsinki.

QF used to have a bus service (~codeshare) in remote WA many moons ago.;);)

Couldn't they just add a flight number to the existing inter-city train services between Turku / Tampere and Helsinki?

Hope they don’t replace my SIN-HEL with a bus. Might get there just in time for the return bus
I have an upcoming HND to HEL on AY. I think you used to be able to get a boat to Vladivostok then the Trans-Siberian to Moscow then a train to Helsinki via St Petersburg but that was before Vlad's Special Military Operation.

Yes between Tom Price and Paraburdoo....they didn't check whether you caught the bus or not and awarded SCs anyway. A FTer got to Plat this way but then cried foul when his Qf account got suspended...there was not a lot of sympathy for him and he was eventually hounded off FT I think.

An interesting little feature is the priority services at the HEL airport for the bus customers. If you book the AY bus connection to HEL as a part of your trip, you get access to the priority check-in and security (I'd assume it's at their OWS / business desk).
