Finnair Flight disruption - Overnight layover support

Hi everyone, My flight is rescheduled to the next day due to disruption. This adds an overnight (24 hours) extra layover at Helsinki to my itinerary. I have accepted the changed proposed by Finnair. I called Finnair to check for the support in Helsinki for the Hotel, etc. They told me that I have to talk to the Finnair support team after reaching Helsinki or book my hotel and claim later on.

What is the best option - to wait till I land to get a hotel voucher or book in advance? I am reaching 4 am in the morning and traveling in economy class.

The answer is always book in advance. Sort your own stuff out and get compensation later, if any. At least you’ll be comfortable, and only possibly out of pocket
