There are a few members here who've purchase AY+ points to earn OWE. I wonder what happens to that route to status?
Agree, it'll allow the airlines to stop a lot of the points arbitrage that currently goes on between programs.I can see a big devaluation coming in all Avios airline user's futures.... this big consolidation is not necessarily a good thing. Strike while the iron is hot, though.
Hence this thread: What would you do with 1.2m Avios?Agree, it'll allow the airlines to stop a lot of the points arbitrage that currently goes on between programs.
Nice. Will be great to see the Avios cartel grow even bigger in the coming years. Who’s next, UX perhaps? The date that Finnair will switch over to Avios has been announced as 9 March 2024, with an IT upgrade happening in the background between 8-11 March.
Loving that they switchover befor the upgrade is complete...The date that Finnair will switch over to Avios has been announced as 9 March 2024, with an IT upgrade happening in the background between 8-11 March.
All the members of IAG use it, as well as a major airline stake holder of IAG.Nice. Will be great to see the Avios cartel grow even bigger in the coming years. Who’s next, UX perhaps?

Yes but a new AY TP is a fair bit easier to earn than a BA one3,300,000 TP?! BA lifetime Gold is 35,000 TP. BA GGLfL is a little more, but both are OWE.
But Avios on a fare-spend basis. Now if this nice “Avios cartel” can keep the majority of award seats amongst themselves and not release them to other partners that would be great
