hi all,

a number of time is have seen people posting here advising that a particular qantas flight is being serviced by a plane with a particular seating configuration.

this has mainly revolved around qf175 qf25.

i am wondering where this knowledge comes from and can i access a website etc that will allow me to find out - or is it coming from an exclusive source?

thanks

You can access the information from the Your Booking section under your QFF account.

The alternate is Check My Trip.

Seat Guru is also good for knowing which are the best seats on any plane configerations (but only has the QF 744 config).

Paid sites

Expert Flyer or KVS Availability Tool are both excellent tools. See my sticky thread on the Qantas Forum "The Ultimate Qantas Guide". Look at the bottom of post #3 for their links.

And if the cabin pre-allocation limits have not yet been reached, you can do a dummy booking on http://flyaow.com/classcwt.htm and get through to the seat allocation page to see the map.

Note this does not indicate the number of unsold seats, just the number of unreserved seats.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
