Finally reached status!!

Unfortunately not with any of the major airlines, but instead with the Melbourne Football Club (AFL)!

Seems as though someone at the MFC has been flicking through the QFF booklet. Now there are 4 levels of 'status' membership...you guessed it: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Unfortunately, it seems as if the status brings you no great benefits. I am however, happy to be a Gold member in AT LEAST one loyalty program, and have updated my profile accordingly SG MFC!

Perhaps you earn a status bonus for each game they win? At least they won't have to pay out very often :shock:

I have finally achieved Life Time Silver with QFF after sitting on 6994 for months. Iam looking forward to the challenge of LTG.

Unfortunately not, after tomorrow I'm short 75 with a 31 October year end. I've got GOV-DRW-SYD-BNE full economy flight on 1st Nov and wee hours of 2nd which earns 80SC's. (actually, my maths is bad- more like 31 hours)

I seriously considered a MR but all my oneworld travel in the next twelve months should be on QF, BA or AA where I have my QP access and my CX flight will hopefully be in Business.

The extra points would have been nice though.

Lol, it's more the fact that I leave tomorrow and am stuck in GOV for the next couple of days. Then again, there's always tonight or early tomorrow morning but 75 SC's is a bit of effort.

Thanks Simongr, I've resigned myself to being a pleb again. If only I didn't turn down that BNE-SYD-BNE trip where I would have paid for the D class seats. Ahh well, we're all smart in hindsight.

I signed up to QFF in Feb '06, earned 10 SC's, then didn't fly again 'til Jun 06.

Made Gold, status reset itself in Feb '07, then re-qualified for Gold in April '07. If I'd forgotten about those 10 SC's, stayed out of QFF until June 2006, I'd be Platinum now. Oh well.

Bugger to miss Gold, but you'll get there soon enough mate.
